The following documents outline the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) compliance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Memorandum M-25-051 Phase 2 Implementation of the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018: Open Government Data Access and Management Guidance.
Welcome to EXIM’s Open Data Hub
The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is committed to transparency, public engagement, and evidence-based policymaking. As part of our obligations under the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018 and OMB Memorandum M-25-05, EXIM maintains this Open Data Hub to provide public access to high-value datasets, promote data-driven decision-making, and foster innovation across the export finance ecosystem.
Our Approach to Open Data
EXIM follows an “open by default” principle, ensuring that public data assets are published in machine-readable, non-proprietary formats and accompanied by standardized metadata. Our datasets are available through Data.gov, and we encourage stakeholders to explore, download, and reuse this information to support research, analysis, and public accountability.
We prioritize data quality, privacy, and usability. Before releasing any dataset, EXIM conducts rigorous reviews to ensure compliance with federal privacy and security standards. We also welcome public feedback to help us improve our data offerings and identify new opportunities for release.
Strategic Information Management
EXIM’s Information Technology Strategic Plan serves as the agency’s Information Resource Management (IRM) framework. This plan outlines how EXIM manages its information systems, data assets, and technology investments in alignment with federal guidance and agency mission goals. The IT Strategic Plan will be updated in FY26 to reflect evolving priorities and ensure continued alignment with relevant OMB Circulars and other mandates.
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
EXIM is committed to openness and accountability through its FOIA program. Members of the public may request access to agency records under the Freedom of Information Act. EXIM provides an electronic portal for submitting FOIA requests, tracking their status, and communicating with FOIA staff.
To learn more or submit a request, visit our FOIA page.

We value your input. If you have questions, suggestions, or would like to request specific datasets, please contact EXIM’s Chief Data Officer at CDO@exim.gov. You can also monitor our performance and engagement metrics via the Data.gov Metrics Dashboard.
