EXIM Chairman Reed Participates in International Aviation Women's Association 32nd Annual Conference
WASHINGTON - Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chairman Kimberly A. Reed today delivered prerecorded remarks to more than 550 registrants at the International Aviation Women's Association (IAWA) 32nd Annual Conference. The prerecorded conversation with Joanne Young, former IAWA President and EXIM Advisory Committee member, focused on Chairman Reed's leadership as the first woman Chairman of EXIM as she reopened, reauthorized, and reformed the agency for a historic seven years.
"As the first woman to lead EXIM in its 86-year history, I am honored to speak to a gathering of women in the United States and across the world who are leaders in their industry," said Chairman Reed. "I look forward to continued partnership with IAWA, and to promote women in leadership across every industry."

EXIM is committed to supporting leadership and economic empowerment of women, and in February, President Trump signed a National Security Presidential Memorandum to establish the Women's Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative, a whole-of-government effort to advance global women's economic empowerment, which aims to reach 50 million women by 2025.
IAWA is a non-profit association providing a worldwide network dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the aviation and aerospace industries at all levels across the globe.
