As Acting Senior Vice President and Chief Ethics Officer, Mr. Mathews oversees the Export-Import Bank's Office of Ethics & Compliance, which is mandated by the 2015 EXIM Charter and has jurisdiction over all employees of, and ethics matters relating to, the Bank. Prior to his arrival at EXIM, Mr. Mathews served in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the US Air Force, where he served in various leadership positions in the areas of litigation, investigations, and ethics prior to his retirement. He received a J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from Oberlin College.
