Jeff Wilson

Mr. Wilson joins EXIM from Devon Energy where he was the Vice President of Public, Government Affairs & Sustainability. In that role, he led efforts fostering relationships with federal, state, local, and tribal officials as well as a broad array of regulatory bodies and outside stakeholders. Prior to the Devon Energy-WPX Energy merger in January of 2021, Wilson served as WPX’s Director of Government & Public Affairs.
Prior to WPX, Mr. Wilson served as Vice President of Government and Public Affairs at SandRidge Energy initiating efforts to communicate broadly with the public on critical issues such as induced seismicity and water use in oil and gas operations. From 2010 to 2014, he served as the Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (now the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma.) He also served on the staff of U.S. Senator James M. Inhofe and led the One Oklahoma Coalition, a non-partisan advocacy campaign who defeated State Question 744.
Wilson has served as Chairman of the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association and serves on the board of directors for the US-Mexico Foundation, the State Chamber of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Business Roundtable, and the Council for a Secure America. Previously he served as an Advisory Council Member of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, as an Energy Security Fellow at Securing America’s Future Energy, Advisory Council Member of the Wilson Center’s Global Energy Center, an executive committee member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, Board Member of the Texas Oil & Gas Association, Board Member of Allied Arts of Oklahoma City, and as a trustee of the Bethany Public Schools Foundation.
Wilson holds a Master of Arts in Global Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, both from the University of Oklahoma.
