Dan Tobin serves as Vice President of the Structured & Project Finance Division at EXIM. In this role, he leads a team of seasoned professionals specializing in underwriting complex, limited recourse structured and project finance transactions in the commodities, power and high-tech sectors. Previously, he was Managing Director of the Power Group within the same division, where he played a key role in advancing strategic energy finance initiatives.

Before joining EXIM, Tobin held leadership positions at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office, including Director of Intake and Senior Investment Officer where he reviewed and analyzed over 400 limited recourse project finance transaction and closed several high-profile nuclear, solar, biofuel, energy storage and integrated gasification deals. During his tenure, he also served as an energy and finance advisor to the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Energy Practice Group and the U.S. Department of Defense’s Energy Initiatives Task Force.

Tobin holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a master’s degree in Energy Policy from the University of Delaware.
