Carter Mateer serves as Senior Advisor to the President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, where he mobilizes senior government and industry leaders around financing strategies that deploy U.S. export credit to help American companies and workers compete and win in global markets. He brings more than a decade of leadership across public policy and the private sector, partnering with decision-makers on initiatives that advance U.S. national security and energy dominance objectives. Carter previously worked directly with the U.S. Secretary of Energy, and he began his career at Deloitte, advising Fortune 100 clients on business strategy and digital product development.

A Colorado native, Carter attended the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business. Outside of work, he can be found playing racquet sports and adventuring in the outdoors.
