Anthony Seiwell
Tony Seiwell is a seasoned labor leader with decades of experience advocating for working families and strengthening union organizations.
Tony has built a career in labor leadership, including 12 years as a District Council Business Manager, where he helped lead strategy, operations, and member representation across the region, and 10 years as Business Manager of Local 1310, advancing members’ rights, opportunity, and strong jobsite standards. He currently serves as an International Representative for Laborers' International Union of North America.
Throughout his career, Tony has negotiated hundreds of collective bargaining agreements consistently securing contracts that protect wages, benefits, and workplace standards for working men and women. He has successfully resolved dozens of labor-management disputes through mediation and interest arbitration, demonstrating a steady, solutions-oriented approach at the bargaining table. In the course of his duties, he has also served as chairman of several Labor-Management Health and Welfare, Pension, and Training Fund Boards, helping to safeguard members’ benefits and strengthen workforce development programs.
In addition to his union leadership, Tony has served on the Luzerne County Community College Board for four years, bringing a workforce-focused perspective to education and training initiatives that benefit students, employers, and the broader community.
