Established by Act of Congress, the Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee (SSAAC) provides guidance and advice regarding policies and programs designed to support the expansion of financial commitments by the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) in Sub-Saharan Africa consistent with EXIM Bank's mandates.

Sub-Saharan Africa is a priority region for EXIM Bank. Based on its Congressional mandate, EXIM Bank is pursuing new initiatives and strategies to expand financing support of U.S. manufactured goods and services to the region.

Committee members will advise the Bank on the development and implementation of policies and programs designed to support the Bank's engagement in Sub-Saharan Africa with a view to boosting American exports and bolstering American jobs.
