WASHINGTON, DC – The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) today awarded Trade Acceptance Group of Minnesota and California-based Meridian Finance Group their Broker of the Year award in recognition of their work as insurance brokers driving transactions and facilitating U.S. exports. With these awards, both companies become the first five-time winners in this category. The awards were announced today at the EXIM’s Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.

Headquartered in Edina, MN, Trade Acceptance Group was established with a mission to partner with U.S.-based companies and financial institutions doing business globally to structure finance solutions for their businesses. One of EXIM’s 18 Platinum tier brokers, Trade Acceptance Group is licensed to do business in over two dozen states and has 270 insurance policies under management.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized for a fifth time in our 26-year partnership with EXIM – helping to fulfill the Bank’s mission of increasing U.S. jobs related to exporting while complementing those services offered in the private sector,” said Bruce Glaub, Principal. “Trade credit insurance, working capital and financing are very important tools for small businesses to help them mitigate risk and offer advantageous sales terms to win foreign business. EXIM Bank products and their incredible staff fit this need tremendously well.”

Meridian Finance Group, located in Los Angeles, has helped thousands of U.S. companies protect their receivables, expand their domestic and international sales, and arrange financing using trade credit insurance. Another of EXIM’s Platinum tier brokers, Meridian Finance Group had 236 policies under management in fiscal year 2022.

“EXIM has given us the opportunity to provide a variety of solutions for U.S. exporters across a range of industries and sizes. With EXIM support, we are able to give our clients the confidence to do business internationally, by reducing their risk, increasing their competitiveness and improving their liquidity. To be awarded Broker of the Year, two years in a row, shows how strongly we value our relationship with EXIM, and highlights the passion we have to help U.S. exporters continue to grow and to set them up for success,” said Elizabeth Sandino, Broker.

“We at EXIM are deeply appreciative of the level of collaboration we’ve achieved with both Meridian Finance and Trade Acceptance Group,” said EXIM President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis. “Between the two award recipients there were more than 500 insurance policies under management in fiscal year 2022, fully demonstrating their commitment to advancing the success of U.S. exports, especially from small businesses.”
