RAY ELLIS NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF EX-IM BANK OPERATIONS DIVISION

Ray Ellis strong banking background both at Ex-Im Bank and in the private sector ideally qualify him to take on this new responsibility, said Jeffrey L. Miller, Ex-Im Bank senior vice president and head of the Export Finance Group. He will play a key role in ensuring that Ex-Im Bank customers continue to get excellent service.

Ellis began his career at Ex-Im Bank in 1975 as a financial analyst/loan officer, left in 1982 to join the private sector, and returned to the Bank in 1999. His most recent post at Ex-Im Bank was as director for Latin America and the Caribbean in Ex-Im Bank's Trade Finance and Insurance Division. In the private sector, Ellis held executive management positions in international tour companies and in leading U.S. banks in Chicago, Ill. He served as Vice President for Trade Services/Cash Management at Chemical Bank in Chicago, and vice president and general manager of Bankers Trust Company International, also in Chicago.

Ellis holds an MBA degree in international finance and business administration, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Russian and linguistics, both from Indiana University.
