WASHINGTON - Today, Acting President and Chair James Burrows released the following statement on the passing of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka:

"The entire EXIM family is deeply saddened today by the passing of Richard Trumka. From EXIM's earliest days, we have existed to support American jobs and American workers by opening markets around the globe to American products. Our friends at the AFL-CIO have been tireless partners in that effort, serving on EXIM's Advisory Committee for several decades and providing valuable counsel to our agency. We are incredibly grateful for Richard's many lasting contributions throughout his more than 30-year career in Washington. We send our most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues in labor organizations around the world."
