Export-Import Bank of the U.S. Chair Lewis to Attend Mining Indaba Critical Minerals Conference in Cape Town
Cape Town, South Africa – Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis will travel to Cape Town, South Africa February 5-8 as part of the U.S. delegation led by Amos Hochstein, Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Adviser for Energy and Investment, and Jose Fernandez, Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment, to Mining Indaba, a conference attended by private sector representatives and government officials centered on investment in critical minerals projects on the African continent.
While in Cape Town, Chair Lewis will deliver remarks on how EXIM financing can support critical minerals projects up and down the battery supply chain, as well as meet with private sector companies and government officials to underscore the agency’s commitment to bringing critical minerals projects into reality.
