Export-Import Bank of the United States Chair Reta Jo Lewis Kicked Off Game Changer Exporter Roundtable Series, Gave Keynote Speech at TXF Americas in Miami

MIAMI – Yesterday, Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis traveled to Miami to meet with local exporters, business leaders, and the international export finance community to expand EXIM’s reach, deepen relationships with partners, and create new opportunities for U.S. exporters.

Chair SpeakingChair Lewis kicked off her visit to Miami delivering the keynote address at the TXF Americas annual conference, where she expressed EXIM’s deep and continued interested in generating new opportunities for U.S. exporters and reinforcing the domestic supply chain. While at the conference, Chair Lewis also held meetings with multiple stakeholders, including commercial banks and borrowers.

Chair Lewis then traveled to Miami Dade College, where she received a tour of the college's Business Innovation and Technology Center. She then met with Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega, students, and faculty at Miami Dade College and hosted a discussion on EXIM’s role in the global marketplace and youth entrepreneurship.

Later in the afternoon, Chair Lewis kicked off EXIM’s first-ever Game Changer Exporter Roundtable event in Miami, a new nationwide initiative to gather local business leaders and exporters to highlight the role EXIM can play in helping U.S. businesses compete and win overseas. The event was co-hosted by the Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Public Private Strategies. Roundtable participants included Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami Dade College President Madeline Pumariega, Miami Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins and organizations, business leaders and community leaders from across Miami and south Florida.
