Export-Import Bank of the U.S. Chair Lewis Underscores EXIM Priorities at TXF Americas in Miami

Miami, Florida – Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis delivered the keynote address at TXF Americas 2024, a structured trade and export finance conference attended by government leaders, private sector representatives and exporters from the global export finance community. During the conference, Chair Lewis also held discussions with financing partners exploring opportunities for collaboration.

“It was a pleasure to address TXF Americas once again to emphasize EXIM’s domestic financing initiative, clean and renewable energy priorities, and our continued commitment to supporting U.S. exporters and the jobs they create,” said Chair Lewis. “We appreciated the productive conversations in Miami about how we can continue to work with private and public sector partners to meet our mission and accomplish our priorities this year.”

Chair Lewis opened the conference with a keynote address, where she highlighted the agency’s recent accomplishments, its 90th anniversary, and outlined key priorities for the upcoming year. She then held a meeting with the Head of Investment at the Ministry of Finance of Mexico Miguel Siliceo Valdespino, where they discussed EXIM’s financing tools and the agency’s commitment to supporting U.S. exporters doing business in Mexico.

Chair Lewis then held several productive meetings with commercial banks and exporters. The discussions focused on strategies to improve continued collaboration and potential opportunities to support U.S. exporters. She also met with representatives from Bechtel and Nokia on the sidelines of the conference.
