Mr. Zaffuto has spent the last fifteen years working in the renewable energy and more broadly in the cleantech industry. He is currently the Director of Financial Advisory for Siemens Financial Services where he is responsible for structuring financing solutions for Siemens passenger rail and infrastructure customers. Mr. Zaffuto is currently spearheading financing initiatives for ultra-low emission (tier IV) diesel locomotives as well as hydrogen and battery powered trainsets.

Mr. Zaffuto held prior roles including Vice President of the Energy and Infrastructure Group at Western Alliance Bank where he was responsible for structuring and underwriting construction and term debt for renewable energy projects. Mr. Zaffuto also worked at NRG Energy as part of its solar division overseeing the financial performance of the distributed solar generating assets of the company.

Mr. Zaffuto earned his MBA at the University of California at Davis with a concentration in cleantech and was nominated to the UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center as a Fellow. Throughout his career, Mr. Zaffuto has developed, financed and operated gigawatts of renewable energy assets across North America and U.S. territories including distributed and utility solar, microgrids, wind, utility battery storage and biofuels.
