DANIEL W. RIORDAN

Dan is the President of Global Political Risk, Credit and Bond Insurance at AXA XL, a division of AXA—formerly XL Catlin. Before joining AXA, Dan held a number of roles at Zurich Financial Services, including CEO of global corporate insurance, president of specialty products and head of surety, credit and political risk insurance. Earlier, he worked with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, a development finance agency. From 2013 to 2015, Dan served as president of the Berne Union, and he has served on the boards of the Surety & Fidelity Association of America and St. John’s University’s School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science.

Dan graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego and holds a master’s degree in international development from American University’s School of International Service.
