Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. (MCP) started in 1962 as part of the Unocal Group of businesses.  In 2002, MCP became an independent, privately held company, focusing primarily on the manufacture and sale of styrene-butadiene latex polymers. Through strategic investment and acquisition, the company now services customers with a diverse line of water-based emulsions in all major application segments and many countries around the world. The company continues to offer a broad line of products and services to many industries, including adhesives, nonwovens, paint, coatings, graphic arts, printing and packaging, textiles, carpet, sealants, construction, oil services and paper.

MCP, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, started its relationship with EXIM in 2008. It has used EXIM’s export credit insurance to mitigate nonpayment credit risk in a cost-effective manner.  As a result, the company has effectively expanded its international market presence and has consistently increased exports with EXIM’s support. From 2013 to 2018, EXIM supported $8.3 million of MCP's exports.
