US International Foods meets the world’s growing demand for safe, high quality, American food from its office in St. Louis. Founded in 2011, US International Foods is a domestically-based exporter of American grocery products selling to China and other markets in Asia. It has four employees in St. Louis and one in Shanghai.
The company sought aggressive international sales growth but was wary of foreign buyer nonpayment.
EXIM’s export credit insurance covers 95% of US International Foods’ sales invoices against commercial and political risks.
From 2016 to 2018, EXIM has protected $1.3 million of the company’s international sales. Its products come from many small and medium-sized U.S. manufacturers, so US International Foods exports are indirectly expanding their sales and supporting U.S. jobs.
