Rebecca Rose joined the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) as Vice President of Communications in early January 2017.
Rebecca has more than 10 years of experience working in communications for the federal government at an array of agencies. She has addressed issues ranging from defense, medicine, criminal and civil law enforcement, finance, and clean energy – all the way to science and technology.
Prior to coming to EXIM Bank, Rebecca was Deputy Communications Director for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where she led a team of 20 plus geographically dispersed employees and managed a $5 million budget to develop and execute a strategic communications and outreach plan for a $5 billion clean energy technology portfolio.
Previously, Rebecca served as Communications and Engagement Advisor for the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Communications Manager for the SEC’s National Exam Program, a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist at the Drug Enforcement Administration, Press Officer and Social Media Manager at the Department of the Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and Surgery; and Deputy Public Affairs Officer for Naval Station Rota, Spain.
Rebecca serves on the board of Young Government Leaders, the only 501(c)3 non-profit professional organization founded and led by young government employees.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of Human Relations degree from the University of Oklahoma.
