George Garcia

George is an experienced Human Resources professional with two Masters Degrees and over 25 years of Human Resources leadership experience in the US Army, the private sector, and the Federal Government managing many HR areas, including:  recruitment, retention, employee development, performance management and awards, staffing, student and young graduate recruitment, HR process improvement, employee and labor relations, human capital/workforce planning, cultural transformation, Federal Employment Viewpoint Survey and employee engagement, human capital strategic planning, organizational development, and EEO/diversity.

George comes to us from US Department of Agriculture-Food Safety Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) and previously worked almost 6 years at the Department of Homeland Security-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS-ICE). George is a veteran of the US Army, having served for 24 year years and retiring as Lieutenant Colonel. George is also an adjunct faculty member at UMUC,  teaching a variety of courses in human resources management.

 George resides in northern Virginia with his family.
