Troy C. Fuhriman is Acting Senior Vice President and General Counsel at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), the official US Government export credit agency. Mr. Fuhriman came to EXIM in January 2017 as an appointee of the Trump Administration and served as Chief Banking Officer and Senior Vice President of Export Finance through August 2017, when he assumed the General Counsel role.
Prior to joining EXIM, Mr. Fuhriman worked as a professor of law at a flagship national university in South Korea. He managed international affairs for the school for five years. He has taught law, economics, and business courses for universities in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Mr. Fuhriman also served as an attorney in the legal and compliance departments at Deutsche Bank's Wall Street offices, with an AmLaw 100 law firm’s business and finance transactions department in New York City, and at a leading Las Vegas law firm. He has founded, led, and advised various small businesses, including working for more than a decade as an officer of a successful defense-oriented optics R&D company that he co-founded in Redmond, Washington.
Troy holds JD, MBA, and BA degrees from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is also a PhD candidate (ABD) in comparative administrative law from Yeungnam University in Gyeongsan City, South Korea. He is licensed to practice law in New York, Nevada, and Washington State.
