EX-IM BANK 2003 ADVISORY COMMITTEE CONVENES FIRST MEETING
New Members Announced Focus On Key Industry Sectors
The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) held the first meeting of its 2003 Advisory Committee under the theme "Making Ex-Im Bank the ECA of the 21st Century." Now in its 20th year, the Congressionally-mandated Advisory Committee helps Ex-Im Bank review policies and programs by providing input from various sectors of the economy. This year's committee has five new members and ten returning members.
The committee will conduct three meetings this year to examine Ex-Im Bank's programs and make recommendations for enhancing service and value. The focus for 2003 is on how Ex-Im Bank can develop new approaches to working with key industry sectors, in addition to following up on last year's Advisory Committee recommendations. The committee will schedule a second and third meeting in the summer and fall of 2003.
