Ex-Im Bank Forming Partnerships in Southeast and Central Europe Ex-Im Bank is committed to increasing the level of support it provides to U.S. exporters of renewable energy and environmentally beneficial goods and services as well as to exporters participating in foreign environmental projects. To achieve this objective, Ex-Im Bank's Environmental Exports Program provides enhanced levels of support for a broad range of renewable energy and other environmentally beneficial exports. Ex-Im Bank held an environmental exports seminar in Budapest, Hungary in September of 2002. In Bled, new projects and opportunities in the environmental sector were presented. 1. Mr. Roko Andricevic, Assistant Minister of Environment of Croatia, discussed the main environmental concerns in his country. One of the priority projects he mentioned was the cleanup of the River Neretva. Assistant Minister Andricevic also sees great potential for U.S. exporters in the waste management (incinerators), recycling, and emissions reductions sectors.
