Increase Your Export Sales with Help from the U.S. Government

Details of Trade Financing Solutions Seminar

Day One:

I. Working Capital Guarantee: We encourage lenders to provide short-term credit to U.S. exporters by guaranteeing 90% of the loan amount. It allows you to borrow up to 75% against the value of your export-related inventory and up to 90% on foreign account receivables.

II. Export Credit Insurance: Allows you, the exporter, to reduce risk while increasing your buyer's ability to purchase more of your product or service. Main benefits of this short-term financing tool:

(a) Risk Protection - If your buyer does not pay, Ex-Im Bank will pay up to 95% of your invoice amount, and we will assume responsibility of collecting from your buyer. Since the high costs of Letters of Credit (L/C) often prohibit you and your buyers from doing more business, our product makes your open account sale more secure than an L/C, with more freedom and less hassle.

(b) Marketing Tool - Often, the deciding factor in winning a sale is what kind of financing you can offer your buyers. We can insure sales with extended repayment terms of up to 180-days. This way, you can compete and level the playing field against foreign suppliers.

(c) Access to Financing - All of our policies can be assigned to a financial institution, enabling you to expand your borrowing base and discount the insured receivable upon shipment.

III. Medium-Term Financing: Offer your buyer of capital goods and services competitive financing rates with repayment terms typically up to 5-years. Plus, there is no minimum or maximum transaction size.

IV. Long-Term Loan and Guarantees: Offer buyer financing for capital equipment goods and services for terms over 7 years and over $10 million.
