MAINTAINING CLOSE TIES WITH PAKISTAN --- Ex-Im Bank Chairman and President (Acting) James Lambright met with Pakistan's President, General Pervez Musharraf in October, 2005.  The meeting was just one of a series of high-level contacts that have been held between Ex-Im Bank and the Government of Pakistan both in Pakistan and in the United States.  In addition to discussing potential U.S. export transactions to Pakistan, Mr. Lambright expressed condolences in connection with the massive earthquake that had struck the region.
