Performance Settings

Use the Performance Settings option to control how caching is done on a site-wide level, specifically, to define cache handling for Page Index and Custom Elements that display lists based on filter or manual section.

Typically, clearing cache for these Element types requires rebuilding the Element-level cache the next time the container page is rendered in read mode, a potentially resource-intensive task for sites using these components extensively, especially as a form of site navigation.

CommonSpot's Performance Settings features give you options for clearing cache on content updates to find the best balance between content integrity and site performance.

To access these options, click to expand Site Properties/Settings in the left panel of the Site Administration Dashboard and select Performance Settings to display Performance Options.
