New Subsite Created
The New Subsite Created dialog is the last dialog in the Create Subsite process and displays the following options:
- Configure - To configure the newly created subsite, click on Configure. You will be presented with the Site Administrator page for the newly created site where you will establish the site parameters (Search, Caching, Version History) and Configure Security, Base Templates, Targeted Audiences, Work Requests, Fonts and Categories.
- Create First Page - The Create first page allows the Administrator to immediately begin creating the first page of the subsite by launching him/her into the CommonSpot application and the subsequent Page Creation wizard. For more information regarding Page Creation refer to the CommonSpot Content Contributors Reference. Note in order to create a homepage, or default page for the site that is automatically loaded for that directory when no filename is specified, configure the HTTP server to default to an appropriately named file with a .CFM extension. Then specify this name as the page name when creating the homepage. For example, if you configure the HTTP server to use 'index.cfm' as the default page, create a page named 'index' and it will become the default page.
- OK - Clicking OK will close the window and bring you back to the parent subsite, giving you the option to create other subsites at that same level.
