Create New Site
The Create New Site option is available as a Server Administration option only, from the Sites on this Server section of the Server Administration Dashboard.
Clicking Create New Site displays the Site Information dialog for beginning the site creation process.
To create a new CommonSpot site, you need CommonSpot Server Administration rights and:
- Administrative access to your Web server.
- The ColdFusion server password.
- The database user name and password. If using Oracle, you need a new database ID with "Connect" and "Resource" permissions.
- The name and location of an empty database for the new CommonSpot site. You must create this database in advance of creating a new site and note the name and the database server name.
For more on creating new top-level sites in CommonSpot, see Creating Managing and Deleting Sites and Subsites and Sites and Subsites.
