C. Michael Forgione is vice president and manager of the Office of Industry Sector Development. He is responsible for an evolving portfolio of industry sectors responding to immediate opportunities worldwide. Forgione is also be responsible for development of solutions to impediments that may limit the Bank’s business development success.

Before assuming his current post, Forgione served as vice president of Ex-Im Bank's International Business Development Division.

In that capacity he was responsible for all international marketing of Ex-Im Bank programs. Forgione came to Ex-Im Bank in June 2004, from a private consulting practice. Before that he was secretary of the credit committee and member of the management and operations committees at Fortis Capital Holdings, Inc. In 1985, Forgione was active in the start up of Prudential Bache Trade Corporation and its Edge Act banking subsidiary, eventually becoming managing director of the Trade Corporation and senior vice president, member of the board of directors of the Edge Act bank. He founded and served as president and principal of CrossOcean Trade Finance Corporation, a subsidiary of the Continental Grain Company.

Earlier Forgione was head of trade finance in New York and later group manager-London for Marine Midland Bank. He began his career in the Corporate Banking Division of Irving Trust Company in New York.

Forgione holds a B.A. degree in economics from Hofstra University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business .
